Flash Day for Hooti at Black Rose Tattooers
We are hosting a flash day for Hooti on Saturday April 24th at both our 4th Ave location as well as our 6th Ave location. Ten designs celebrating her recovery, we ask for a minimum donation of $30 per tattoo. All donations collected will go directly to Hooti.
Our dear friend (and probably yours too) Sierra aka Hooti Peterson has been quietly battling Triple Negative Breast Cancer for the past 9 months and could use some serious financial and emotional support to help her keep fighting this fight through this challenging time.
After years on the road as a wig, hair & makeup Supervisor for Broadway Shows like Wicked, Cabaret, Love Never Dies, Cats, & Anastasia Hooti found herself without a job when the Covid pandemic hit.
Since the diagnosis, Hooti has been through 9 months of chemotherapy, surgery and radiation treatments. She lost her career and her dream of settling down and buying a house. She has since had complications from the last surgery and needs to go back in for another operation.
If any of you know Hooti, you know what a light she is to many. Her humor and hijinx are infectious and she has brought a lot of joy and talent to many of us here in the AZ community as well as to almost every state in North America. She has worked long and hard to fight this disease, and now, in what is hopefully the final stretch of this fight could really use some assistance and love returned to her.
